Benidorm’s Moors and Christians festivities to present the Christian King’s parade spectacle on Sunday
The event will take place at noon at La Casa del Fester
Benidorm City Council’s Department of Fiestas and the city’s Moors and Christians Association have announced that the presentation of the Christian King’s parade spectacle will take place next Sunday, September 6. The event will be held at the Casa del Fester at noon. However, a festive bar offering popular prices will open one hour beforehand, according to Councillor for Festivities Mariló Cebreros and the president of the Moors and Christians Association, Arturo Mira.
This year, the Christian kingship falls to the Filà Cruzados. Alberto Sánchez will take on the role of King, while Silvia Gois will be the Christian Queen. Benidorm’s Moors and Christians festivities will take place from October 1 to 4.
Councillor for Festivities Mariló Cebreros has encouraged “everyone” to attend the event and recalled that Benidorm’s Moors and Christians festivities have been officially recognised as a Festival of Local Tourist Interest. The councillor highlighted “the spectacle, colour and music that traditionally surround these celebrations and which are enjoyed both by those of us who live here and by visitors who come to the city during these days.”
