A DJ, inflatables for children, and food and beverage options round out the commercial offerings planned, starting Friday, at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España
As a new feature this year, there will be three exhibitors showcasing nearly new and reconditioned vehicles
Benidorm will host the 13th edition of its Outlet Fair this weekend, organised by the Department of Commerce and the Independent Traders’ Association (AICO). This year’s event will bring together 20 local businesses. Councillor for Commerce Javier Jordá and AICO President Raúl Parra announced the details at a press conference today. The fair will open on Friday 23 October at 9:30 am in Plaza SSMM Reyes de España and will run until 9 pm on Sunday.
The Councillor for Commerce explained that the Outlet Fair aims to boost local businesses while giving the public the chance to buy products at significant discounts. AICO President Raúl Parra highlighted how the event helps participating businesses generate “immediate cash flow, free up warehouse space, renew their product ranges and promote their businesses”, while offering consumers the chance to find bargains at competitive prices.
According to Parra, participating businesses will include shops selling clothing, leather goods, sports equipment, household appliances, footwear, homeware and sweets. “As a new feature this year, we will also have three local automotive companies exhibiting nearly new and reconditioned vehicles,” he added.
Another new feature will be a DJ set by Gus on Saturday 24 October from 5 pm to 9 pm. Inflatable attractions will also be available on Friday afternoon and throughout Saturday and Sunday. In addition, the Association of Bars, Restaurants and Cafés (Abreca) will run a bar.
A total of 35 marquees are expected to be set up, seven more than last year, raising hopes that this could be “a record-breaking edition”, as Parra noted. In this regard, the Councillor for Commerce congratulated AICO, saying that “you continue to grow year after year”, both in the number of participants and in the range of additional activities designed to enhance the shopping experience and make the Outlet Fair “not just a shopping event, but also a leisure activity”.
Finally, both representatives invited residents, tourists and visitors from the surrounding area and other municipalities across the province to come to Benidorm over the weekend and enjoy the Outlet Fair.
