Benidorm receives a €21,400 grant from the Provincial Council to organise cultural activities
The Councillor for Culture says the funding “helps ensure that the city can continue to host established, high-quality events such as the Organ Festival and the Great Recitals”
Benidorm City Council has received a €21,400 grant from the Provincial Council of Alicante under the 2026 call for grants to municipalities in the province of Alicante for cultural, musical and performing arts activities. This was announced by Councillor for Culture Jaime Jesús Pérez, who thanked the provincial authority for its “continued support” for “everything related to the promotion and dissemination of culture and our traditions”.
Pérez highlighted that the funding received through this grant has helped co-finance activities such as cultural and dance workshops, the concert held as part of the 2025 Festive Music Competition, as well as “well-established programmes in our city that are major points of reference both within the province and nationally, such as the Great Recitals series and the Benidorm International Organ Festival, which is celebrating its 14th edition this year”.
The Councillor for Culture stressed that “all of these activities are free of charge and open to the entire population, to bring culture to a wider audience across all its disciplines and forms, through high-quality performances, concerts and exhibitions”.
