Culture brings theatre to the Cultural Centre with the play ‘Llévame a Benidorm’ on October 4th

Benidorm City Council's Department of Culture will present the play "Take Me to Benidorm" on October 4th. Directed by Celia Morán and starring Rocío Solís and Alejandra Guiol, the performance will take place at the Rafael Domenech Pardo Auditorium in the Cultural Centre at 7:00 PM. The play tells the story of Mila, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and lives in a nursing home. Only Luisa visits her daily. When Luisa is forced to move to Santander, Mila resists her fate and decides to escape. Together, they embark on a journey to Benidorm, reminiscing about their shared life through films and songs.
It's a comedy brimming with cinematic flair, love, and humour, tackling themes such as Alzheimer's, euthanasia, the right to live and die with dignity, repressed love, and old age. Ultimately, it's a story that, amidst laughter and emotion, becomes a final celebration and an intimate ode to life.
The Councillor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, encouraged "all theatre lovers and fans" to attend, promising a wonderful afternoon. He highlighted the city's "cultural offerings" and his department's work "to provide an ever-increasing variety of options for enjoying culture in Benidorm each year."
